The World Bank (WB), Urban Development Project (PDU) and the Ministry of Urbanism and Habitat requested the services of UNOPS to support works of public interest in order to protect the very attractive urban infrastructure of the city of Kananga against the progress of erosion threatening national roads, universities, public markets, etc.
In this context, UNOPS appointed WSP for design work related to the following eight erosion gullies:
- Zone Aeroportuaire 1: Tumbuluku.
- Zone Aeroportuaire 2: Monusco.
- SNCC RN1 Aéroport: Gare Central Ville.
- Université de Kasaï.
- Commerce et Tshisekedi.
- Division Provincial Hygiene.
- Bena Mande 1.
- Bena Mande 2.
